Diversion

The diversion program focuses on youth, who have been identified as “at-risk”; youth prone to delinquent behaviors. The program redirects youth offenders from the justice system into officer led activities. Each activity seeks to address the root causes of their offenses and decrease recidivism.

Benefits:

Reduced involvement in the “deep end” of the juvenile delinquency system
Maintained youth connections and engagement in the community by keeping the youth in his/her environment
