Police Athletic League of North Miami (PAL of NM) is a non-profit organization that consist of businesses and civic leaders, educators, and citizens of the North Miami Dade community to provide programs for the youth. PAL of NM was recognized as a need for youth (ages 8-20) to be provided with supervision after school programs. It is known as a need for positive interaction between the police department and the youth of the community.
The main objective of the PAL program is to meet the needs of our youths through a variety of after school athletic and educational programs utilizing positive role models, such as police officers, educators, and community volunteers in informal settings other than the structured classroom environment. Some activities include basketball, track and field, boxing and also provides educational services, such as tutoring in English, Reading, and Math.
PAL of NM is constantly striving to expand upon its programs to enhance the youth’s knowledge and broaden their experiences through the program’s services. Our goal is to instill the youth of the community with great health habits, great sportsmanship, and high moral and civic standards.
